Catherine Fitzgerald Wyatt
Catherine Fitzgerald Wyatt is the Education and Programs Assistant at the Library of Virginia, responsible for the library’s development of teacher resources and public programming. Catherine is ABD in History (Rice University) and has a MA in History from both Rice University and the University of Charleston (SC). Catherine was a history instructor at Rice University, and she has worked in the public history field at Drayton Hall (Charleston, SC), Fort Sumter National Monument, and Henricus Historical Park. Catherine is currently working on the forthcoming online primary resource collection, the Document Bank of Virginia, which is the Library of Virginia’s initiative to get documents into classrooms. Document Bank of Virginia will teach students to be critical thinkers as they analyze the original documents and draw their own conclusions about Virginia’s past.
